We aim to do this in two separate ways: continuously improve the quality of care provided to the animals in the zoo's collection and continue to enhance the services offered to the visiting public.
Through financial sponsorship, friends to the Guyana Zoo are important in the achievement of these goals.

A major effort is underway presently at the Guyana Zoo to build a new aquarium to house a variety of local fish for visitors to observe and learn about. We have been struggling along with our old aquarium building for a good while now and construction of a new facility is long overdue.
